We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Operative responsible for the day-to-day portering. This position calls for an organised team player, committed to achieving the highest standard of work within a busy corporate environment.
Main Duties: Coordinate delivery and collection of parcels, packages, goods and other miscellaneous items to and from multiple site locations, including recording such items for future use, disposal and/or safe storage training to be provided. Liaise with the necessary external providers as needed.Demonstrate and manage the safe operation of forklift trucks, electric-reach trucks and hand operated pallet trucks, flatbed trucks, tail-lift vehicles. Be able to handle lifting and carrying large items following manusal handling policies and using xray machines. Manage the safe process for all logistics related tasks.Conduct all work tasks in a safe, secure and clean manner, ensuring that contract and site rules and procedures are adhered to at all times. Conduct general house-keeping tasks including upkeep of the contract's facilities, stores, meeting room checks, yards and buildings
Support the onsite Workplace team e.g. FM projects, moving of furniture etc. Communicate with customers face-to-face, over the phone and/or by email to ensure a professional and polite service delivery.Attend training updates as required to meet compliance requirements. Ensure all direct reports are also up to date. Support staff attending the workplace as directed by management.Be an innovator with ideas to create a better place at work and cost savings to the client
What we are looking for: Whilst specific qualifications are not required for this position, an understanding of the facilities services industry would be advantageous. It is highly beneficial for the candidate to be able to demonstrate a proven track record in a logistics and customer facing environment.An appreciation of health & safety in the workplace would put the candidate at a distinct advantage

They will be able to display an ability to communicate to staff, colleagues and customers at all levels One team ethos.The candidate will be able to demonstrate a capacity to work well within a team and show resilience when working under pressure
The candidate will be adaptable and flexible and have a customer-focussed approach to work.Must hold a full, clean driving licence. Must gain and maintain full SC security clearance
