Through our technology we accelerate breakthrough improvements in human health and empower life science researchers with easy access to target proteins.
As a Logistics Specialist at Nuclera, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of our supply chain operations. Your responsibilities will include coordinating shipments, monitoring inventory, and liaising with internal teams and external partners to optimize logistics processes.
About The Role
Inventory Monitoring
  • Collaborate with the warehouse manager to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Assist in demand forecasting and order replenishment processes in Nuclera's ERP system (IFS).
  • Conduct regular audits to track stock movements and minimize discrepancies.
Shipping Coordination:
  • Coordinate with fulfillment partners to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
  • Generate shipping documentation, including commercial invoices and packing lists. This will include shipping from the UK and the US, and to destinations worldwide.
  • Manage the complexity of shipping from various sites, various temperature requirements, and various partners.
Internal Shipments
  • Manage and coordinate shipments between the Nuclera UK and Nuclera US facilities.
  • Support general shipments to and from various locations, ensuring secure and timely transportation.
Communication and Collaboration
  • Communicate with internal teams, suppliers and logistics partners to ensure alignment on delivery schedules.
  • Address and resolve logistics-related issues promptly.
  • Work with customs brokers to facilitate smooth customs clearance.
Quality Assurance
  • Ensure products are packaged securely and meet quality standards.
  • Implement quality control measures to minimize shipping errors.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to enhance logistics efficiency.
Requirements
  • The candidate should be system and process-driven. Familiarity with ERP systems will be a plus.
  • Display flexibility and adaptability in all situations
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management, logistics or a related field
  • Proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably in a global supply chain.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation modes, regulations, and customs procedures.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality control.
  • Familiarity with biotechnology or life sciences cold chain logistics is a plus.
