Logistics Specialist - Mandarin speaker

Location: Alva, Clackmannanshire - FK12 5DQ
Salary: GBP28,119 - GBP32,000 - Salary scale, DOE
Contract: Permanent, Full time
Hours: Mon - Fri 9 - 5pm, with some flexibility required

AccuBio Ltd. (manufacturers of In vitro Medical Devices) are currently recruiting for a Mandarin speaking Logistics Specialist.

Logistics Specialist -Job Purpose:

Tracking shipments from supplier to factory and communicating with relevant stakeholders.

Main areas of responsibility: completing the shipment tracking, customer clearance for importation, communication with brokers, comparing shipping cost, POD documentation, claim filing, providing shipment information during auditing process.

Logistics Specialist - Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Essential:

• Fluent written and spoken Mandari
• 2 years in similar logistics role
• Knowledge of variety of transportation methods, including air, sea, rail and ground.
• Understanding the international trading term and the process of Importing and exporting products, regulations and document preparation.
• MS Office
• Good personal organisation skills
• Good communication skills

Desirable:

• Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
• IVD industry
• QMS knowledge and experience.
• HMRC or Carriage forwarder
• Medical device/diagnostic manufacturing.
• Understanding of cost saving through the selection of most cost-effective means or method of transporting supplies
• Ability to challenge existing processes and behaviours

Logistics Specialist - Main Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage a logistics information system (real time visibility) to track the location and status of goods
• Manage transportation process, monitor shipping activities, escalate as required and implement corrective actions to maintain timely product delivery
• Manage shipping process complaints and claims, escalate as required, conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative measures/actions to minimise future occurrences
• Process and review carrier invoices and documentation and analyse transportation costs and controls
• Monitor and evaluate performance of transportation vendors to agreed KPI's (including OTD, costs, customer satisfaction) and make recommendations on preferred vendors
• Prepare and submit import/export documents to customs on a timely basis and maintain compliance with relevant regulations
• Maintain compliance with all business policies and procedures
• Perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as required
