We have a current opportunity for a Logistics Team Leader on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Hinckley. . If you have a background in an Engineering/ Automotive environment please apply.
To manage all aspects of designated logistics area to ensure efficient operations are maintained.
To ensure that support required is coordinated to ensure an efficient operating area.
To analyse and improve the logistics performances of the designated area using PDCA.
To develop a motivated team approach.
To train T/Members using standardised work.
To develop & sustain a system for 5s.
To liaise with customers, externally and internally as necessary
To ensure a safe working environment at all times.
To maintain the designated visual management board.
To ensure that the designated area adequately manned to the Logistics manning plan.
To ensure equipment is running at its optimum speed.
To ensure the team is fully trained.
To ensure health & safety is paramount to prevent accidents and subsequent claims.
To control spend on consumables where applicable.
To ensure care and maintenance of machines, tooling and associated equipment;
To keep scrap and rework costs within the agreed budget;
To meet customer demands, internally and externally, on time and at the right quality;
- Must have CURRENT Counterbalance truck FLT
- Microsoft office PC skills
- Used MRP warehouse systems .
- Needs to be used to rolling up sleeves and jump on a truck when required.
- Team of 5 to look after
- Banksman trained
- Overhead crane skills
- NVQ Level 2 Ideally
