Job Title:Logistics Team Leader

Salary: £25,000, plus a non-contractual bonus (earning potential £28,000)

Location: Weston-Super-Mare

Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent

We are looking for a well-organised and motivated Logistics Team Leader to join our team!

Who we are looking for:

The Logistics Team Leader will sit within a small team of five, reporting into the Logistics and Customer Satisfaction Manager.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and engaging individual who will join the team and manage the efficient day-to-day running of the logistics department.

Tasks will include:

  • Making and receiving calls to customers, booking in delivery of their beds / chairs, and taking any balance payments due, ensuring all associated administrative tasks are kept up to date.
  • With your team, you will manage the logistics inbox, responding to customers and other departments queries in a timely manner.
  • Creating delivery paperwork ready for the delivery teams and assist your manager with pre-routing checks.
  • Be the initial point of contact for any customer complaints raised at delivery stage, escalating any issues as necessary.
  • Liaise with third party delivery teams to ensure they have the relevant information for delivery and that the required paperwork is returned.
  • Responsible for monitoring the supplier order lists to identify when items will be ready to be scheduled for delivery, and where appropriate, work with third party delivery companies.
  • Build positive relationships with suppliers, third party delivery companies and internal teams.
  • Provide cover to the Logistics and Customer Satisfaction Manager in their absence.

What you will need is:

  • A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory / Team Leader role.
  • A good knowledge of UK geography / postcodes is desirable.
  • Ability to self-motivate and prioritise multiple tasks to maximise efficiency.
  • Experience of working in a role involving communication with customers.
  • Experience of delivering excellent customer service.
  • A positive attitude.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Strive to continuously improve.
  • Experience of working to achieve targets.
  • Experience of using in house and external data bases / portals.

You will need to keep the internal CRM system up to date, as well as various shared documents and reports, so good IT skills are required including Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Annual earning potential of up to £28,000.
  • 20 days holiday plus 8 Bank Holidays, rising by one day per year up to 25 days holiday plus 8 Bank Holidays.

This is a full-time role, office hours are 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday (35 hours per week).
