Job Description
JOB SCOPE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
To coordinate the van operation and develop strong relationship with customers and become a partner (business support) for each customer on a defined route within a specified area.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES:
Coordinate the Thornbury van operation serving the customers of the EssilorLuxottica network.
Vehicle and inventory management
- Perform regular safety checks on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition before and after each trip.
- Report any new damage, accidents and incidents immediately
- Load and unload vehicle in accordance with Company procedures
- Assist in the preparation of goods ready for Dispatch
- Be aware of and how to follow Company procedure for vehicle breakdowns.
Delivery to the customer
- Deliver orders to customers on assigned routes and time schedules
- Review deliveries with customers to ensure order is correct
- Obtain delivery confirmation from each customer
Customer relationships
- Develop excellent customer relationships with customers
- Provide Rx & Stock lens delivery service
- Resolve customer problems and provide a face to face customer service to the practices
- Feedback to the organisation any customer queries or concerns
Health & Safety
- To work in line with the duty of care to self/others and ensure Health & Safety guidelines are followed in line with company policy.
- Adhere to traffic laws and safety regulations to avoid accidents or incidents.To bring to the
- attention of the Logistics Shift Management any hazards, risks, concerns, accidents or near misses.
- Comply with any local PPE requirements.

TECHNICAL SKILLS - PORTRAIT OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE
- Full clean driving licence
- Good level of English and Mathematics
- Proven experience as a delivery driver
