SalaryTo provide and implement an efficient and effective lubrication monitoring and reporting service in order to achieve optimum availability of the United Utilities (UU) asset base.
To ensure increase availability and utilisation of lubrication best practice as part of our Maintenance strategy.
Job Accountabilities
- Carry out lubrication activities on identified assets located on Water and Wastewater operational sites
- Ensure that task confirmation is provided, as appropriate, to confirm that lubrication activities have been carried out to the relevant standard at the identified frequencies
- Deliver an effective lubrication service across assets identified by the maintenance strategy
- Carry out minor remedial work on lubrication systems (adjustments, adaptation of fixtures and fittings), appropriate to the level of competence and training received
- Carry out effective human senses inspections of assets visited, and raising of further work as appropriate
- Define alternative components within corporate asset register to ensure appropriate lubrication tasks are deployed
- Ensure levels of lubricants and materials are maintained in local oil stores
- Store and appropriately dispose of oil contaminated waste
- Ensure that lubricants are stored in line with UU best practice
- Utilise predictive technology to analyse, trend and grease critical assets on condition where identified by the central maintenance strategy
- Sample and submit samples for analysis where identified as appropriate
- Receive and understand oil sample results, understanding appropriate course of action and either raising of or completion of further work as appropriate
Knowledge and Skills
To be considered for this role you'll need to have 5 GCSEs (inc Maths and English) grade C / 4-9 (or equivalent) and have lubrication experience as well as experience of maintenance/mechanical engineering.
You'll also need:
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Awareness of the Water Industry
- Experience solving problems
- A full driving licence
- Previous experience of lubrication maintenance preferred
