Machine Learning Scientist
Location: Cambridge (Hybrid)
We're working with a leading Cambridge scale-up that utilises Machine Learning to advance R&D across multiple industries to find their next ML Scientist.
You'll be instrumental in developing and implementing advanced Machine Learning algorithms and models to tackle complex challenges. You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, researchers, and domain experts to drive the development of state-of-the-art ML solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement Machine Learning algorithms and models to solve challenging problems.
- Conduct research to explore new methodologies, techniques, and approaches in Machine Learning and AI.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Machine Learning solutions into products and services.
- Analyse and interpret data to derive actionable insights and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong background in Machine Learning, deep learning, and statistical modelling, with hands-on experience in developing and deploying Machine Learning solutions.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, as well as familiarity with relevant libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
