Role: Machine Learning Scientist
Salary: £80,000
Location: Cambridge

The Company

This is an amazing opportunity to work for a software consultancy completely dedicated to Machine Learning. The team is comprised of some of the most advanced Machine Learning Scientists in the country and works with a range of global businesses including AstraZeneca, Rolls Royce and Johnson Matthey.

The Role

A core focus of this role involves designing and implementing adaptive algorithms that drive the companies AI systems, working alongside data scientists and algorithm specialists. The Machine Learning Scientist will also be providing customers with the most successful applications of Machine Learning to their real-world product research and development projects. This role requires somebody who is not only passionate about Machine Learning, but also a natural communicator, as they will be supporting the commercial team in providing demonstrations of company products to key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • You will be working alongside the scientific team to develop autonomous AI software and conduct tests to ensure the software generates accurate predictions.
  • You will be using your passion for Machine Learning to push boundaries and to develop new tools and analytics to support customer engagements.
  • You will be responsible for applying ML/AI methods to generate additional value from the data generated by company projects, platforms and collaborators
  • You will be responsible for building technical relationships with customers of the business and ensuring that their goals for product development are being efficiently met with the business ML technology.

Requirements

  • MSc or PhD in Machine Learning, computer science, mathematics, physical or chemical science, or similar field
  • Extensive Experience in statistical analysis and Machine Learning
  • Experience in customer-facing roles
  • Advanced in Python libraries (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy)
  • Highly motivated and adaptable to rapidly developing technical and commercial drivers
  • Ability to clearly communicate both algorithms and applications with technical and business teams
