Working Hours: Day shift Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)
Meridian Business Support are delighted to be recruiting for our busy client, who are looking for Machine Operator in the Steel industry to join a day shift on a temp to perm basis.
To ensure that the machinery is operated and maintained in a safe manner to ensure the smooth running of production. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried out smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits, able to work with attention to detail and safety standards.
Main duties include:
· Operate and maintain the machine ensuring the highest possible quality of the product
· Maintain a tight control of the level of waste product.
· Carry out and record periodic checks.
· Ensure the good housekeeping of the work area and that hygiene schedules are strictly adhered to.
· Prior to use, ensure machinery is in safe working condition.
· You must be prepared to carry out other duties as and when required, such as packing products and other production duties.
About you:
· Previous experience desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
· Good level of English.
· Ability to work independently and in a team.
· Hardworking and reliable.
· Ambitious attitude – development opportunities available.
