RESPONSIBILITIES

The role

Our client based in Hazel Grove, Stockport is currently recruiting for a Dairy Milk Processor to join their existing Production Team on a permanent basis. The responsibilities of this position are varied and not limited to -

Individual responsibilities

  • Milk Processing: Operate and monitor dairy processing equipment to convert raw milk into various dairy products.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks throughout the processing stages to ensure that products meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of processing equipment, storage tanks, and production areas according to established protocols to prevent contamination and ensure product safety.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any issues with equipment or processes that may impact production efficiency or product quality.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, and coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure continuous production.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate records of production activities, quality control measures, and inventory levels for reporting and regulatory compliance purposes.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to minimize risks of accidents or injuries in the workplace.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members, including supervisors, technicians, and quality assurance personnel, to achieve production targets and maintain product quality.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and product quality enhancement, and contribute to the implementation of improvement initiatives.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Previous experience in dairy processing is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of dairy processing equipment, sanitation practices, and quality control standards.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of product quality and safety.
