Contract Duration: Temporary until 31 March 2027

Post 1 - Based at Galashiels

Post 2 - Based at Duns

Role Purpose

The MacMillan Improving the Cancer Journey (ICJ) is an exciting new development for the Scottish Borders.
 
The MacMillan ICJ Workers will play a crucial role by providing a person-centred service that enables people affected by cancer in the Scottish Borders to navigate health, social care and wider systems. 
 
MacMillan ICJ Workers will help people affected by cancer to access practical, emotional and social support during and after cancer treatment, as identified by their holistic needs assessment.  
 
You will work alongside another MacMillan ICJ Worker & MacMillan ICJ Assistant as part of a supportive team.  You will benefit from induction & ongoing support as part of the Health & Social Care Partnership as well as MacMillan.

 

Essential

HND in Health & Social Care or Scottish Vocational Qualification (Care) Level IIII or equivalent in a relevant discipline.

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
