AddressWe are looking a Maintenance Assistant to join our brand new 12 bed CAMHS service supporting young people between the ages of 12 – 18 years old at Emerald Place Clinic in Charlwood, Surrey opening early 2024.

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the services facilities are fit for purpose and will regularly conduct audits to identify and repair any faults.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working alongside the Emerald Place team, you will turn your hand to all maintenance-related tasks, liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service.
- Maintain a well decorated, safe and comfortable environment throughout the site, in line with quality standards, and follows work processes which comply with statutory regulations.
- Undertakes regular internal and external Health & Safety audits of the site and its grounds.
- Participating in all aspects of preventative and corrective maintenance on buildings structure and fittings.

To be a Successful Maintenance Assistant you will need:
- Numerical and verbal literacy skills
- Full UK driving licence
- City & Guilds/NVQ in relevant trade background (desirable)
- Portable Equipment Testing Certificate (desirable)
- Strong knowledge & awareness of health and safety issues
- Previous 1 years, experience in a similar environment
Emerald Place Clinic is a general adolescent inpatient unit for the care and treatment of young people aged 13 up to the age of 18. Young people who are admitted to the unit will have a primary diagnosis of mental illness across a wide range of disorders and complex needs. These could include mental health conditions such as mood disorders and acute psychosis. Additionally young people may have co-existing additional needs such as neurodevelopmental disorders, including mild learning disabilities or autism. A young person could also be admitted if they have disordered eating.
