Our client is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to work within their Engineering team in Portadown to ensure their manufacturing facility and the machinery within it are maintained and that everything runs smoothly. The Maintenance Electrician will maintain the factory systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventative maintenance procedures.

Candidates must have:

  • A qualification as an Electrician;
  • At least 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance (preferably in a manufacturing setting);
  • Familiarity with electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems, machinery, equipment and PLC controls;
  • The ability to perform straightforward mechanical maintenance in addition to electrical works;
  • Proven expertise in troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing machinery and equipment;
  • Experience organising and controlling contractors;
  • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals;
  • A strong knowledge of electrical safety practices and regulations;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail;
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment;
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical information clearly and concisely; and
  • The flexibility and adaptability to handle changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.


This is a full-time, permanent role; and our client will require a Maintenance Electrician who can travel to the Portadown site daily.
