Maintenance Engineer

Due to expansion, we are now looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, ideally with a heavy industrial background to work in this busy CNC machining centre based in Sheffield.  Our client is a global manufacturer suppling into Rail infrastructure meaning there are no signs of slowing down. If you are looking to be within a stable company this could be the role for you.

Please note this is a heavy manufacturing environment.
Benefits of a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer:
Working hours are on a weekly shift rotation, no weekend working:

• Week 1: Mornings. Monday to Friday 06:00 - 13:40
• Week 2: Afternoons: Monday to Friday  13:35 - 21:15
• Basic Salary £43,290 (Inc Shift Allowance)
• 7% pension
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays = 33 per year.

The role of a Maintenance Engineer: 

• Identify, plan, and implement continuous improvement ideas and projects.
• Reports and maintains machinery breakdown / PPM status ref: PIRANA and a handover book, to ensure prompt attention and reduce waste.
• Provide realistic time / cost estimates for completions of specific maintenance tasks.
• To assist in the identification, sourcing, and purchasing of parts and equipment.

Skills and Experience required to become a successful Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer:

• Preferably a time served apprentice trained engineer.
• Mechanical or electrical qualifications, level 3 minimum.
• A sound understanding of mechanical maintenance aspects
• Experience working with CNC machines in a heavy industry environment.
