Form of workSTEM recruitment solutions have a superb opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer for our highly acclaimed client based in the central belt of Scotland. This is a cutting-edge technology company that is expanding so a fantastic opportunity to be part of something really exciting.
You will be responsible for maintaining site-wide equipment including all manufacturing, facilities, and lab equipment to an appropriate level. The job involves undertaking preventative maintenance, unplanned maintenance and calibration requirements as detailed in equipment schedules and documenting these activities within the computerised systems.
The other key responsibilities are:
- Carry out and record scheduled, un-scheduled and breakdown maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair any breakdown problems. Where the work cannot be undertaken internally, I identify and organise for external contractors to undertake the work.
- Achieve the required degree of competence on all equipment sets (through training and experience).
- Develop maintenance policies and procedures, and undertake work as required in the SAT, IQ/OQ and PQ protocols for each new item of plant and equipment.
- Undertake engineering projects whether that be related to yield improvements or machine performance improvements.
- Identify critical spare parts, establish holdings and maintain stock.
- Adhere to GXP.
- Ensure appropriate audit trails exist
- Maintain and update training records
