Maintenance Engineer (mechanical or electrical)

12 Hour Shifts – 4 on 4 off days and nights shift

£52,000

First class opportunity to join a prestige manufacturing facility based near Mansfield, Nottinghamshire who supply into major blue-chip retailers.  We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer (mechanical or electrical) to drive forward continuous improvements and develop and upgrade existing machinery. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Responding to and resolving breakdowns throughout a busy high volume manufacturing site.
• Supporting the preventative maintenance programme.
• Maximising efficiency and minimising machine downtime.
• Ensuring engineering tasks are completed by adherence to H&S and environmental regulations and industry best practice.
• Conducting maintenance checks, completing quality audits and paperwork.
• Diagnosing faults on a board range of PLC control systems and modifications.
• Pursuing continuous improvement projects.

Experience:

• Time Served Apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical engineering is essential.
• Proven work experience within a high-volume manufacturing facility is preferred, if not working in a time critical environment is essential.
• Knowledge of PLC programming and Electrical Wiring Regulations would be an advantage.
• Experience of working with automated machinery.
