LINKS Recruitment Group present a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to work within a well-established company who are continuously growing due to company success.
In this role, the Maintenance Engineer role is a vital frontline, hands-on position that is crucial to the Company’s success by maintaining the continuous running of equipment and machinery throughout the site ensuring that there is minimum disruption to core activities, reducing the risk of breakdowns and unplanned downtime and develop plans to improve the overall reliability and safety of the site.
The role:
You will be working within a team, carrying out PPM’s and maintenance on a range of production machinery.
* Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on plant and machinery.
* Work to planned preventative maintenance schedule.
* Complete elements of commissioning on plant and equipment.
* Work with sub-contractors to improve working knowledge of plant and equipment.

* Ensure that ‘general’ building/facilities maintenance is carried out.
* Work with sub-contractors to improve working knowledge of plant and equipment.
* Support the introduction of new machinery and products.
* Work closely with other internal departments.
* Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on plant and machinery.
* Work to planned preventative maintenance schedule.
* Complete elements of commissioning on plant and equipment.
* Work with sub-contractors to improve working knowledge of plant and equipment.
The Person:
* Completion of an engineering apprenticeship and/or HNC level or above in a engineering-related subject; or equivalent experience within a relevant engineering role
* Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
* You will be multi-skilled, with the ability to fault-find and repair both mechanical and electrical fields.
* Experience across a variety of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
* Ability to perform both proactive & reactive maintenance duties using a scheduled maintenance system.
* IOSH working safely / managing safely is desirable but not essential.
* Ideally, you will have PLC experience – specifically, Siemens S7 / Mitsubishi.
* Ability to read, understand, generate technical, electrical and P&I drawings.
Role: Permanent
Salary: up to £46,500 (dependant on experience)
Shifts:
Wk1 Mon-Fri 6am-2pm
Wk2 Sun-Thur 10pm-6am
Wk3 Mon-Fri 2pm-10pm
