We have a fantastic opportunity for aMaintenance Engineerto join the team at Global Upholstery Solutions, based in Andover.
Global Upholstery Solutions is a Hampshire Upholstery business based over two sites in Andover. Part of the Stannah Group of Companies, Global Upholstery Solutions is a business to business supplier of a full range of upholstery services and upholstered pieces.
The Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the production equipment and facilities are operating at maximum performance. They are key to making sure that downtime is minimised. This is by ensuring that TPM plans are implemented and that continuous Improvement opportunities are maximised.
We are looking for an engineer who has worked in a modern manufacturing environment with experience of automated and manual production processes.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be able to demonstrate that you are a good problem-solver with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ideally, you will have knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques, for example. 5S, TPM and SMED. Also, familiarity with ISO quality control procedures and systems.

Responsibilities:
Ensure equipment and plant facilities meet current and future Health, Safety and Environmental legislation
Support projects and initiatives which improve Health, Safety and Environmental performance
Ensure regular scheduled maintenance activities are completed
Diagnose and rectify equipment failures/breakdowns and suggest improvements
Maintain adequate stock holding of equipment spares
Support the installation and relocation of new and existing equipment using lifting, pushing, skates and power tools.
Risk Assessment creation and ongoing reviews
Working at height with the aid of powered platform lifts, boom lifts and ladders
Comply with all appropriate ISO9001 Quality Management System procedures
Requirements
A recognised electrical/electronic/mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent is essential
