About theMaintenance & Facilities Manager role:

As ourMaintenance & Facilities Manager, you will oversee all aspects of asset care and facilities management at the Denby and Little Eaton sites. The successful candidate will develop an asset care strategy to ensure the plant delivers on all aspects of legal and regulatory compliance, safety, health and environment, quality, facility provisions, and plant reliability. Development of people and processes will be required to support the implementation of the stratgey.

You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of two key facilities, with 2 direct reports and 5 indirect reports. The role will also lead on the continual development of a strategy to drive both sites towards a status of net zero for carbon dioxide emissions.

The key responsibilities of our Project Manager will include:

  • Work closely with the Plant Manager and Senior Project Engineer to develop and deploy a measurable 3 year asset care strategy to raise overall engineering capability. The strategy will cover all aspects of planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance, autonomous maintenance / TPM, and ownership of the site CMMS.
  • Budget responsibility for all aspects of the engineering & asset care functional costs, with clear and precise monitoring and reporting to agreed stakeholders.
  • Work with the Senior Project Engineer & SHE Manager, to establish an agreed code of conduct and clear processes for all contractor management systems to ensure all works comply with the legislative standards as defined by the appropriate UK & European SHE bodies.
  • Lead the capability of the maintenance teams through performance management and individual development plans, linked to specific objectives, goals and success measures.
  • Site champion for energy and effluent reduction programs to adhere to the site environmental and sustainability objectives. Responsible for compliance with the site ISO50001 certification.

Previous experience / knowledge required of our Maintenance & Facilities Manager:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in maintenance management in a related industry
  • Relevant engineering qualification. Minimum HND, preferred bachelor s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • Strong leadership presence and engaging style to enable team building and development of key stakeholder relationships
  • An excellent communicator, with the ability to listen and consider the views of others with an open-minded approach to all asset care matters
  • An attitude of accountability and responsible, resulting in ownership and positive action where needed
  • Excellent organisational and robust time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple work streams and remain unphased by change in a dynamic manufacturing environment
