Maintenance Manager - Food Manufacturing
Salary: up to £70,000 dependant on experience
Location: Oxfordshire
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Manager at a prominent food manufacturing company in Oxfordshire. This role reports directly to the Site Engineering Manager and involves managing a team of 6, including Maintenance Planners, Engineers, and Facilities personnel. The company operates a large, multi-faceted production site, encompassing several individual manufacturing units, each comparable in size to an independent factory. This role is pivotal in ensuring the high-performance and continuous improvement of the Engineering Maintenance Team.
Skills required for Maintenance Manager:
- Experience Managing in a Factory/Manufacturing environment
- Leadership and team management skills, with experience in managing a diverse engineering team.
- Proficiency in using computerised maintenance management systems for asset organisation and scheduling (experience with Agility system is advantageous).
- Knowledge of compliance standards in safety, lifting regulations, and pressure system safety.
- Ability to develop and implement operational plans and build effective, autonomous teams.
- Technical expertise with a variety of machinery, including large-scale ovens, robotics, silos, mixers, conveyors, and PLC controlled systems. Engineering Management experience
- Experience with CAPEX
- Experience implementing PPM Systems
- Knowledge of LEAN Principles
- Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge
- Engineering qualification
