About you and this role

Working as part of a team of professionally qualified staff, you will undertake routine and planned preventative electrical maintenance tasks of our buildings and equipment across the University estate, including satellite campuses and student accommodation.

To be successful in the role, you will:

  • Be an experienced and qualified tradesperson.
  • Be proactive in identifying and developing solutions and be adept at problem solving.
  • Be able to effectively contribute to the activities of the maintenance team to meet our priorities, performance indicators and service level agreements.
  • Have a broad knowledge across all aspects of building and civil works inc. an understanding of electrical and mechanical services.

Maintaining the condition of the Estate

In this role, you will be representing estates as a focal point for staff and student requests, you will be undertaking urgent, routine and preventative tasks across a diverse range of building types and services to ensure the University is functional and operational.
