Maintenance Operative (Mechanical)

The RCM’s Estates & Facilities team is now seeking to appoint a Maintenance Operative (Mechanical) to be responsible for ensuring the estate is well maintained and building services are statutory compliant, ensuring a high standard of service delivery from the in-house and out-sourced maintenance teams. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the postholder will be expected to carry out tasks such as; routine checks of supplies and services, periodic checks to mechanical and general plant systems, electrical updating works and general rewiring and a variety of other maintenance tasks across the RCM. The successful candidate will be: Professionally qualified in a Mechanical discipline, with experience of working in a Building Maintenance environment and of using BMS Knowledgeable in all statutory legislation in relation to estates maintenance including Building Regulations, L8, DDA, COSHH, Asbestos, CDM regulations, ACOP’s etc. Able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks whilst maintaining a strong customer service approach This post is offered on a permanent, full-time, basis and is immediately available.
