gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Maintenance Planner to work at their facility based near Manchester
Performance Objectives
- Establish gaps within the system and correlate all existing data on the system with what is in stock.
- To maintain a well-organized, efficient and safe engineering stores in support of minimizing equipment downtime and improving performance and value.
- To achieve site Key Performance Indicators (KPI`s) in respect to stock value, accuracy, stock turns & consignment stock
- To proactively source alternative components, engineered parts and suppliers that can meet the technical and performance standards of the parts they replace.
- To manage the complete end to end return of defective parts/non-conforming parts to the supplier
- Check deliveries and receipt of goods into the computer systems. To update and maintain computerized stocking system for all material movements.
- Control access to the engineering stores and assist engineers in the issuing of parts to lines.
- Maintain the CMMS working alongside shift managers to update the maintenance tasks and ensure all parts are available prior to maintenance periods.
- Work with shift managers to create and control maintenance interventions on the CMMS and schedule these at consistent intervals to minimise machinery downtime.
- Goods issue parts to cost centres and control spend within the agreed limits for the period(s).
- Arrange with OEM's, contractors and planning all machinery interventions.
- Manage parts and job sheets for 'job in box' and 'if down do' maintenance work order system.
Person Specification
- Experience of maintenance control systems and planning of works orders
- Preferred experience of SAP as a system user / super user
- Experience of project management
- Good level of literacy / numeracy
- Computer literate - Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
- Experience of good housekeeping techniques such as 5S
- Exceptional organisation skills and a keen eye for detail
- Good communication skills and experience in dealing across departments internally and with external suppliers and contractors.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an engineering or engineering stores and planning role
