The Opportunity

 

As a Maintenance Planner you will join the highly experienced and multi-skilled team in the Work Management Department at Torness. The Work Management Group is responsible for planning all work on-site to maintain Compliance with the Site Licence, all Statutory Regulations as well as delivery of the Station's Maintenance Policies and defect repairs.
 
In this role, you will be required to co-ordinate and schedule maintenance activities across departments that ensure safe & efficient delivery to support reliable operation of the plant.

Pay, Benefits and Culture


The salary range associated with this role is between £34,641 to £60,826 with terms and conditions covered by the EDF Nuclear Generation Company Agreement. However, the starting salary for this appointment will be within the range of £34,641 to £49,089 dependant on the successful candidate's competence and experience.

What You'll Be Doing
 

Working in this role, you will report to the Work Management Group Head and you will be accountable for the provision of effective and efficient planning in order to achieve best possible performance of the Management of Work processes including:
 

  • Performing effective work planning and scheduling to facilitate the efficient maintenance and repair of plant and equipment
  • Producing Work Week plans that ensure Site Licence Conditions, Statutory Regulatory and Compliance requirements are fulfilled
  • Demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills with relevant stakeholders to promote engagement with the EDF Work Management process
  • Planning activities to support the focus areas of Equipment Reliability, Operational Focus and Fire Safety and ensure that significant or critical work included in plans is identified to stake holders
  • Providing appropriate support to ensure delivery of Departmental and Station Business Plan objectives
  • Performing post work week execution reviews to capture learning from the planning process, identify and drive areas for improvement

 

 

Who You Are


As a planner you will be self-motivated, resilient and have a positive attitude towards your work. The role requires you to be able to work well as part of a team and have the ability to effectively communicate and coordinate across many working groups.
 
We are looking for you to have had previous experience of Nuclear, or an industrial maintenance environment, as well as experience in planning principles. 

Additional support is available to encourage further training and development.
