Due to continued growth, we now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Plumber to join our team in the Bournemouth area. We're a reactive facilities maintenance business, so no two days are the same, and while we try to keep you as close to home as possible, ultimately, you will get to see parts of the South West that you may never have seen before! We'll give you a van and fuel card to get around, though and we help you manage your workload through the use of industry-leading software
About the role:
As our Maintenance Plumber, you ll support the continued growth of the business by providing reactive and planned maintenance services in the area and supporting large-scale projects.
Hours of work are generally 08.00 - 16.30 Monday to Friday, but flexibility will be needed for start and finish times, on-call rota, and out-of-hours working
Because some sectors we work in involve close contact with vulnerable or young people, successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Your main duties as our Maintenance Plumber will include:
Carrying out routine PPM tasks, reactive works, and small projects - sometimes on your own and sometimes part of a team
Attending callouts/breakdowns and carrying out remedial repairs and replacements
Install new plant and equipment within both commercial and domestic premises
Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant within both commercial and domestic premises
Be proactive in reporting faults to equipment, buildings and fittings
Providing materials lists and time estimates for return remedial works
You will also be expected to work as part of an on-call rota to cover out-of-hours emergencies (circa 1 in 10 weeks) and there may be occasions when you'll be asked to work outside your core discipline to support other teammates
What we re looking for:
Previous domestic and commercial plumbing experience essential
Unvented certification
NVQ 2 in Plumbing and Heating
Domestic gas tickets (advantageous)
Possess high levels of attention to detail
Awareness of Health and Safety
Highly customer focused
Experience working within a mobile workforce
Experience in dealing with customers and suppliers
Proactive and enthusiastic team player
A can-do attitude
Excellent communication skills
Full driving licence
