MAINTENANCE & PROJECTS ENGINEER, DERRY Our client based in the Derry area are in a period of significant growth and due to their continued increased and busy work load they now have a vacancy for a Maintenance & Projects Engineer. Responsible for managing maintenance activities and leading engineering projects to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of the facilities and equipment. This role involves a combination of hands-on maintenance work, project planning, and coordination with internal teams and external vendors. The successful candidate will play a critical role in optimising maintenance processes, implementing improvement projects, and contributing to the overall success of our organisation. (a full JD can be made available to shortlisted applicants) Essential Criteria: Relevant degree level qualification, i.e., BEng (Mechanical Engineering) at 2.2 or above, or equivalent. Minimum two years experience in a similar environment. IT literate including proficiency in MS Office applications such as MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word and other IT systems such as Computerised Maintenance Management Systems and online training platforms. Experience of successfully leading projects. Ability to prioritise workloads in a systematic and organised manner to ensure that jobs are completed within target times. Full current driving licence or access to a form of transport to enable the post holder to meet the requirements of the post in full. Working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, codes of practice and guidelines. Right to work in the UK without the requirement for a sponsorship licence. Desirable Criteria: Have obtained a project management qualification, such as Prince 2. Membership or professional accreditation in engineering or relevant discipline.
