SalaryA major FMCG Food Manufacturer is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Reliability Manager to join the team to drive the performance of assets and people across all sites. This role will have a duel reporting line into the Head of Engineering and Operations Director and be accountable for managing the maintenance of three sites and 5 Engineering Managers.
The Maintenance Reliability Manager will be accountable for managing the maintenance of the plant’s production equipment, electrical systems, building and grounds and to ensures the plant is in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
This role will require a real people person with at least 4 years leadership experience and a proven track record of delivering asset and people improvements.
Maintenance Reliability Manager responsibilities include:
Responsible for ensuring compliance to relevant Safety Policy and legislation to maintain legal regulatory and internal standards, delivery of all legislative and H&S requirements
Conduct periodic inspection and provide guidance concerning all plant systems, equipment, facilities and grounds.
Manage department budgets.
Management and development of the Engineering Management Team to ensure full capability and delivery of all appropriate People/Development targets (e.g. KPIs, Climate Survey, skill gap reductions)
Oversee all changes or upgrades.
Ensures preventive maintenance is followed on production equipment by scheduling repairs and upgrades while simultaneously working to maximise plant uptime.
Supervise training of personnel to ensure all crafts (electrical, hydraulic and mechanical) have the required level of expertise. Ensures efficiency and high standards are maintained.
Support job change initiatives to improve performance.
Remain consistent, ensure the development of a continuous improvement culture within the Plant by involving teams in the on going identification, development and implementation of improvements to the manufacturing process / performance
Champion energy savings initiations
Oversee plant apprenticeship program.
You will ideally be degree qualified in Engineering / related field and have proven experience working as a Reliability Manager / Head of Reliability with multi-site experience in a Manufacturing environment.
You will have experience communicating and directing the application of safety and environmental regulations as well as experience Investigating all accidents and safety incidents within the Plant, ensuring proper “root cause analysis” to provide remedial action to prevent reoccurrence implementation of safety corrective actions.
This role will have the ability to prepare estimates and specifications of plant projects, determining crew size, trades involved and materials required to complete projects as well as experience coordinating and directing outside contracting work associated with plant system, furnace and facility.
Strong PC skills with an emphasis on MS Office suite and SAP PM are essential
