Job description

Flexible start and finish times throughout the day. This permanent Maintenance Reliability Specialist role is with a leading global chemical manufacturer offering double figure bonus, double figure pension and more. The company is consistently expanding and looking to add an individual to their operation based in the West Yorkshire area working on days.
This Maintenance Reliability Specialist is with a multi-billion-pound chemical company with multiple sites in the UK and throughout Europe. The company is investing into their existing plant, driving innovation in order to maintain their status as a market leader.
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Reliability Specialist

  • Plan and carry out scheduled site outages.
  • Create and oversee planned maintenance procedures, actively monitoring performance.
  • Enhance site reliability by analysing OEE data and operational conditions
  • Identify opportunities for reliability improvements tied to CapEx investments, defining scopes of work and engaging suppliers for continuous enhancement.
  • Step in to support the Supervisor role during holidays or absences while carrying out the role of a Maintenance Reliability Specialist .
  • Collaborate with internal resources to address persistent, long-term issues.
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with external service providers.
  • Offer technical expertise within specific maintenance domains and contribute to developmental initiatives and projects.
  • Develop and refine maintenance procedures and methods, contributing to installation and commissioning guidelines


To be successful in this position as a Maintenance Reliability Specialist, applicants will require experience working within manufacturing. Desired qualifications include COMPEX and an apprenticeship (NVQ, ONC, City & Guilds) within Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Supervisory experience on a COMAH, Chemical, Petrochemical or related site would be beneficial.
