SalaryOur client, a well-established engineering company based in Gateshead, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join their team.
You will have experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry, as the successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's facilities.
Salary: 45K Annually
Shifts: Day Shift Only - 39 Hours per Week
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full maintenance support to production, minimising downtime.
- Respond to breakdowns promptly, troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently.
- Implement planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance strategies.
- Identify reliability issues, conduct root cause problem solving, and implement improvements.
- Ensure that all machinery and equipment on site are mechanically and electrically safe.
- Collaborate and coordinate with outside contractors when required.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years' experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
- Experienced maintenance engineer with supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in maintaining Mechanical Power Presses, Robotics, and Various Welding Machines.
- Good understanding and knowledge of mechanical skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities in both electrical and mechanical domains.
- Experience maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic, oil, and grease lubrication systems.
- Knowledge and experience of motor drives and panel building.
- Commitment to health and safety procedures.
- Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
