As we expand our team, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join us in maintaining our manufacturing plant.
Position Overview:
The Maintenance Supervisor, will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility and the maximisation of machine utilisation.
You will lead a small team of maintenance technicians, overseeing the maintenance and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and machinery.
This position requires leadership abilities, proactive coordination, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to maintenance management.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with production stakeholders to schedule maintenance activities and minimise disruption.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and equipment history.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement upgrades and modifications to electrical systems and equipment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor / Team leader or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Multi skilled maintenance engineering background with extensive knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and components.
- Recognised Engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC) Electrically biased preferred.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to prioritise conflicting tasks and manage time effectively within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with maintenance management software and computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) - Any experience with Shire would be advantageous.
Shifts: Days role - 9:00 - 17:30 Or 10:00 - 18:30 - Monday to Friday
Salary: £48,000 - £50,000
