Maintenance Supervisor

I am seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join an Estates team within a college based in Cambridge. An exciting new permanent position to be part of a prestigious school with the chance to develop and with generous benefits. The working week will be 37.5 hours a week, starting salary is 32,000 per annum depending upon experience and qualifications. Responsibilities:
Supporting the maintenance manager and deputizing in their absence.
Performing maintenance work in a manner that improves equipment and ensure regs and safety standards are met.
Day to day supervision of the maintenance team.
Carry out routine, emergency, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment work.
Assist with the implementation of maintenance objectives, oversee scheduling of work, and lead team projects within trades.
Preventative and reactive repairs.
Oversee all repairs and ensure that work is completed on time.
Conducting follow-ups on all maintenance and repair work.
Responding to emails and queries prioritising as appropriate.
Inspect the building regularly.
Maintain competence and train staff.
Maintain health and safety applying to plant, machinery, and tools to ensure safe working practices.
Responding to breakdowns and damages.
Requirements:
Good numeral and literacy skills to GCSE standard or equivalent.
Relevant hands-on experience in building maintenance and fault finding.
Health and Safety qualification.
Recognised trade or vocational qualification (Plumbing bias preferred but others can be accepted).
Driving license.
Cleared DBS.
Good IT Skills with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.
Comfortable working on your own and as part of a team.
