Subsea7 has an opportunity for aMaintenance System Specialistto join our Project and Offshore Operations team on a full-time, staff basis. This role will be based at our Aberdeen, Westhill office.

You will be part of the Technical & Engineering team responsible for Maintenance matters across the fleet. You will act as a technical specialist for all Subsea 7 assets specifically focused on Maintenance Systems. You will have a good knowledge of modern maintenance and Maintenance Systems.


What will you be doing?

  • Support both technical personnel onboard the vessels and the onshore Equipment Managers/Superintendents as required.
  • Work with the company PMS applications to collate equipment information, build an equipment structure and record equipment maintenance plans.
  • Plan specific maintenance projects and monitor progress to completion. Report and review activities completed to provide lessons learned and further development of procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of PMS implementation procedures, including philosophy, hierarchy and content.
  • Contribute to ensuring that PMS documentation accurately reflects the planned maintenance procedures in use both onboard the vessels and in the office.
  • Assist in the review of equipment failures, with root causes and trends, and implement fleet improvements from incidents and lessons learned.
  • Act as a resource within OR to provide support with regard to planned maintenance related issues.
  • Promote planned maintenance across the fleet and encourage users to engage with the systems/procedures in place.
  • Be available to travel to regional offices or vessels to support implementation.

What experience would we like you to have?

  • Degree in an engineering discipline or relevant marine / offshore education / experience.
  • Previous database experience in the offshore or maritime industries.
  • Good knowledge of technical systems.
  • Understand the importance of maintenance.
  • Articulate and able to communicate at all levels.
  • Able to work alone or as part of a team.
