About the Role

Base Location: You will be based in one of our key Hydro sites, which includes sites in the Argyll and Bute, Perth and Kinross, and Highland regions.

Salary: £39,415 - £45,136 depending on skills and experience + car /car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

As Maintenance Technician within the Hydro Maintenance Team, youll be accountable for the delivery for a range of facilities maintenance aspects, ensuring they are fit for purpose and capable of securing the Renewable Operations business in a safe and efficient manner.

The key duties and responsibilities of this Maintenance Technician role include:

- Management of the Battery, Fire Alarm, Fire Extinguisher, Intruder Alarm, LVAC installation, and similar system Maintenance Contracts.

- Management and action of defects in systems associated with the Maintenance Contracts and those arising from Annual Insurance Audits

- The Interface with our Hydro Operations Central Control for the issue and cancellation of Fire Alarm System Impairment Notices.

- Management and supervision of contracting partners while on-site maintaining, upgrading and commissioning systems.

- Update of records and Management of Plant and Process Change.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- A minimum of an HNC qualification or equivalent within a related engineering discipline and practical experience, or an extensive background in a maintenance and operations environment. Ideally you'll have practical experience and a background in renewable generation sites.

- Experience of computerised maintenance management systems, planning / scheduling techniques and processes, and Safe Systems of Work. If not already attained, you'll have the opportunity to obtain the high level of Safe System of Work authorisation necessary to enable the role.

- Knowledge and understanding of key health and safety regulations such as PUWER, LOLER, Pressure Systems and Electricity at Work.

- Attained, or working towards a CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme or similar qualification.

- Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to travel, therefore, a full valid driving license will be essential.
