Position: Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician (Nights)
Location: Kent
Work Pattern: 4 on 4 off - 18:00 - 06:00

My client is seeking an individual with a good understanding of both PPMs and RMs in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Duties and responsibilities:
* Perform Routine checks on planned maintenance items
* Prioritise and complete reactive maintenance
* Support with the delivery of the PPM and general maintenance tasks
* Conduct weekly site inspection reporting
* Maintain PPM and Reactive maintenance documentation
* Ensure key stakeholders are consistently updated with status reports on RM and PPMs
* Deputise for Maintenance Supervisor when required
* Active involvement in continuous improvement projects
* Attend morning meetings for added site engineering coverage
* Carry out installations on the facility to all current legislation and regulations
* Make amendments to production equipment as directed
* Maintain stock levels of spare parts, ensuring notify the Operations manager when new stock is required
* Make sure food hygiene and food safety standards are always upheld
* Ensure smooth handovers across shifts and communicate effectively with other Maintenance Technicians
Required experience:
* Previous experience as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer in a Food Manufacturing environment
* Suitable relevant engineering qualifications (minimum engineering NC or NVQ2 or 3 as well as City & Guilds 18th Edition)
* A good understanding of electrical and mechanical Installation
* Good understanding of health and safety practices (IOSH or higher would be desirable)
* A good understanding of food safety regulations
* Flexible to cover additional shifts/callouts if required
* Experience in the following would be beneficial; PLC and Drive, Plumbing, HVAC, Ducting pipework, Ventilation, Metalwork and TIG welding
* Competent in using hand tools and power tools
* Good written and oral communication skills
* Good Numeracy skills
* IT literate (Especially Microsoft Office)
