Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering exclusively with a successful and growing family-owned Agricultural group based in Ross-On-Wye, Herefordshire to recruit a dynamic and experienced Management Accountant. Reporting directly into the Financial Controller this key permanent role will take the lead of all accounting aspects for the farming entity of the business. You will be involved in financial reporting, business partnering, management accounting, cash flow forecasting, analysis, and process improvement. Open to financial professionals who are part-qualified/qualified or qualified by experience. Your new role
Your key duties will involve maintaining accurate financial records throughout the year, maximising cash flow and providing a high level of service provision to various internal and external stakeholders. You will produce monthly reporting based on the financial year with insightful commentary on variance analysis compared to budgets. You will report on both cashflow and profitability of various entities within the group, perform financial analysis to aid key business decisions, and pro-actively manage costing processes. You will review/improve financial processes, systems, and controls, being a key figurehead for your entity for the annual audit, along with supervising the Accounts Assistants and supporting other Operational Managers. You will be involved in ad-hoc duties and projects for the Financial Controller and support the on-going development of the business.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this hands-on Management Accountant role, you will need experience within a similar position, solid technical accounting knowledge and be part-qualified/qualified or qualified by experience. You will have strong MS excel skills, key financial systems experience, self-motivation, and drive to improve processes and systems. Effective organisation/planning skills, customer-focused approach with a collaborative communication style to build both internal/external relationships at all levels. You will be willing to learn and not afraid to challenge others and processes within the Group. Experience within the Agricultural/Farming sector and supervisory experience would be advantageous but not essential.

This permanent Management Accountant role is offering a salary between £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependable on experience based in Ross-On-Wye, Herefordshire.
