Manager – Credit Policies & Governance | S3 | Risk | Milton Keynes Country: United Kingdom

A key role within Credit Risk reporting to the Policies and Governance Senior Manager. The role holder will support the Senior Manager managing and maintaining credit risk polices such as classification, forbearance and provisions allowance policies. The role holder is also responsible for development and maintenance of internal controls to monitor adherence to Credit Policies and minimise operational risks.

The difference you’ll make:

  • Updating internal Credit Policies where required and other relevant documentation such as procures and handbooks
  • Ensuring that Policy & definitions are consistently applied, and do not conflict with Global Policy and definitions
  • Producing MI and regulatory update reports for presentation and various levels of committees
  • Supporting line manager when working with internal and external stakeholders, including the PRA and EBA
  • Promoting compliance to Risk policies to all business stakeholders / internal network
  • Engaging with relevant business areas to quantify the commercial and operational impacts of policy changes

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong understanding of relevant regulation/policies (like NPL, forbearance) and standards (like PRA/ECB/EBA)
  • Experience of working in a Control function

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Ability to manage and influence stakeholder
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working in credit risk function
  • Banking/financial services experience

This role is based in Milton Keynes and our current expectation is at least 2 days in an office every week.
