Managing Estimator

Logical are working with a large civils client in the east midlands area, they are looking for a Managing Estimator to join them on a full time, permanent basis.Duties:* To prepare, manage and supervise accurate estimates for major infrastructure projects* To support delivery of business objectives including relationship with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.* Responsible for managing a team of 3 estimators with further responsibility of further recruitment and training.* Undertake estimates from first principles in accordance with Company procedures (value £100K - £10M).* Review tender documents, drawings as well as create detailed cost risk analysis and work breakdown analysis to ensure the production of high-quality cost estimates.* Create tender programmes using MS project* Prepare submission documents and ensure timely delivery.* Oversee tender handover meetings with construction team.* Provide ongoing support to site teams relating to estimate and key assumptions.* Subcontractor engagement at tender stage, producing enquiries and assessing returns from supply chain.* Identify opportunity and risk during the tender process.* Help develop, mentor, and manage junior / trainee estimators as well as manage relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.* Ensure full compliance with the core process procedures throughout tender period.Must have:* Experience in: Highways (Drainage & Earthworks), Water Industry, and Rail* Experience with various Contract including NEC 3 and 4, JCT and ability to interpret risks* Full UK Licence as travel to sites and meetings will be required.Salary:* £75K-£85KStart date:* ASAPIf interested please give Nathan or Sophie a call on (phone number removed) or apply directly for a call back
