My client is a renowned Japanese restaurant dedicated to serving authentic and innovative Japanese cuisines ( Japanese Wagyu, Australian Wagyu, Australian beef offal, and American grains ) in a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere in London Soho!
We are looking for an Accountant to join one of Asia's top fine-dining restaurants.
Key responsibilities:
Manage the management accounts process end-to-end monthly for the group.
- Reconcile, defer & recognize income & costs for projects/clients on a monthly basis
- Reconcile costs every month
- Update & reconcile reports each month, raising or releasing accruals as necessary
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Partner with key stakeholders to prepare forecasts and budgets.
- Maintain rolling forecasting models, seeking constant process and model improvements.
- Assist with system and process improvements.
- Assist with reviewing coding & posting AP-processed invoices.
- Continually seeking ways to streamline & automate accounting processes.
- Undertake any other relevant duties or reasonable requests as requested
- Prepare, Maintain, and provide insights on client revenue analysis
- Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and year end files.
Skills and qualifications:
- Mandarin or Japanese language required to liaise with Head Office
- Previous experience in a similar position in retail or hospitality for more than 2-3 years.
- Familiar with IFRS and UK VAT and tax laws
- Experience or proficiency in the relevant management software programs, such as Excel, ERP system (SAP)
- Capable of completing daily, weekly, and monthly works, reports, balance sheets and accounts independently.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field may be required.
