Manufacturing Administrator

Job Description:

Job Purpose: Responsible for the administration of manufacturing activities as described in the key tasks and responsibilities. The Administrator will support demand planning, conduct production analysis, and manage various administrative tasks for the manufacturing operations.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Manage, plan, and coordinate daily administrative operations of the manufacturing department, including compliance, policies and procedures, expense reports, etc.
  • Develop and review production schedules to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Ensure maintenance log administration is completed according to the required schedule. Manage maintenance and repair engineer scheduling and administration following company procedures.
  • Administer Health and Safety protocols, including the SafetyHub online training platform. Abide by all company safety procedures, rules, and risk assessments.
  • Purchase and administer tooling, stationery, and PPE as required.
  • Administer material certifications and tooling invoices.
  • Administer daily and weekly machine checklists.
  • Expedite orders and maintain good working relations with suppliers performing operations on behalf of the company.
  • Administer payroll for the manufacturing department, ensuring payroll is collated and provided monthly according to the required schedule.
  • Report any accidents and incidents to management in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all product and administration duties are met, in line with ISO Quality Standards.
  • Maintain Excel spreadsheets or alternative documents related to manufacturing activities.
  • Generate reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) results.
  • Highlight training needs as deemed necessary to fulfill the job role.
  • Recommend process changes to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, using relevant methodologies.
  • Be supportive and participative in all activities initiated by the manufacturing management team.
  • Perform other clerical duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A-level or equivalent.
Proficient in Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Knowledge of Power BI (not essential).

Key Experiences:

Previous administration experience, ideally within a manufacturing/production environment.

Additional Information:

Working Conditions: The working conditions are typically office, manufacturing floor, and assembly environments. Travel is not required in the role but may occur occasionally for training purposes.
