Job Title: Manufacturing Buyer

Location: Norwich, UK

Are you a skilled and motivated individual with a passion for procurement and a keen eye for international sourcing? We are seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Buyer to join our client based in Norwich. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to our growing organisation and play a key role in our supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand manufacturing requirements and develop effective procurement strategies.
2. Identify and evaluate potential international suppliers, negotiating terms and agreements to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement.
3. Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and actively seek opportunities to optimise costs without compromising quality.
4. Monitor market trends, industry developments, and geopolitical factors to make informed decisions regarding supplier selection and risk management.
5. Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and quality control, to streamline processes and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
7. Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve supplier performance and overall procurement effectiveness.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Proven experience as a Manufacturing Buyer with a focus on international procurement.
2. Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.
3. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
5. Familiarity with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
6. A proactive and results-driven mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement.
7. CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or equivalent qualification is a plus.
