Job description

A world class, global manufacturing company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Nottingham.  Ideally you have experience of working in a CNC manufacturing environment with some knowledge of programming the machines.  

As Manufacturing / Production Engineer you will join a small manufacturing support team and work alongside other departments to analyse manufacturing effectiveness and identify and recommend improvements to machinery operations, tool designs, production methods and machinery control to improve process capability. You will also liaise with engineers in other countries (mainly USA) on similar projects.

Key responsibilities of Manufacturing Engineer:

  • Collaborate with various departments to investigate safety and quality issues.
  • Identify the root cause of issues and formulate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Assist on the implementation of new automated processes.
  • Identify projects to improve total preventative maintenance, ensuring critical equipment is identified and risks of unplanned downtime is minimised.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending relevant workshops and reading professional publications etc

Qualifications and skills required of Manufacturing Engineer:

  • Ideally Degree qualified in Engineering
  • Previous experience as a Manufacturing / Production Engineer
  • Ideally experienced with CNC production, plastics would be highly advantageous
