My client, based in Bristol, design and manufacture a range of high precision electro-mechanical products that are sold all over the world. Due to expansion, they currently require a Manufacturing Engineer - BOMs to join their Engineering team.
My Bristol based client use numerous motion and control systems, incorporating best in class solutions from leading manufacturers. This includes lasers motion which are often non-industrial systems, to meet the micromachining challenges their customers present.
Key Responsibilities for the BOMs Manufacturing Engineering Job in Bristol:
- To develop 'Bills of Material/Manufacture' in support of the ERP system go-live and day-to-day operations thereafter.
- To develop and apply System level Operations (routings) strategy/policy to support planning across sales order configuration, engineering, purchasing, build (kitting, assembly and test) and shipping.
- To process engineering change.
- To develop rule sets to aid automation and integrity and, to seek further automation in parallel with PLM strategy.
- Carry out any other tasks that may be reasonably required by the Company.
- Take personal responsibility for your health and safety and for that of others who may be affected by your actions and behaviour. Comply with the organisation for health, safety and environmental protection.
Skills Required for the Manufacturing Engineer - BOMs Job:
- Clarity of written and verbal communication, particularly with Operations and Engineering colleagues.
- Ability to take ownership of solving problems.
- Attention to detail and data validation/checks.
- Training will be provided.
