Our client is part of a prestigious global engineering group and are considered as the market leader in the design, development, and manufacture of precision machined components for the automotive industry dealing with customers such as Ferrari ad McLaren. They are very established with a significant customer base and have grown year on year for the last 20 years, with some significant orders ahead for 2020.

Job Purpose: You will work in the engineering team, asking as the bridge betweenn engineering and production. Ideally you will have knowledge of CNC machinery and processes / and have an interest in design. You will have the opporuty to impplement CAD CAM software, work on product and tooling design and process improvements. This is a varied role with good autonomy and support to make positive change.
- HNC/HND minimum in Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Excellent experience working in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing.
- Methodologies can include DMAIC, SMED, Kaizen, 5s, 8d.
- Implementation of best practice into manufacturing areas.
- Working closely with the design team.
- Designing tooling, jogs and fixtures (experience ideal but not essential).
- Excellent communication skills and pro-active approach key.
- Be the owner of the assembly PFMEA and ensure updates are made on time.
