Their commitment to innovation, precision, and quality has established them as a key player in the industry, being in operation for over 160 years. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join the team and contribute to the success of their cutting-edge projects.
Responsibilities:
CNC Turning and Milling Expertise:
- Utilize your extensive experience in CNC turning and milling processes to optimize production efficiency.
- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-precision compressor rotor components.
- Power Mill for 3-4 axis machines with FANUC controls.
Programming Proficiency:
- Develop and implement CNC programs for turning and milling operations.
- Continuously refine and optimize programs to ensure maximum productivity and quality.
Metal Cutting Background:
- Bring your in-depth knowledge and background in metal cutting to the forefront of our manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance cutting strategies for improved efficiency and precision.
Process Optimization:
- Analyze and refine manufacturing processes to meet or exceed quality standards.
- Implement improvements to enhance overall production performance and reduce lead times.
Quality Assurance:
- Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that all manufactured components meet strict quality standards.
- Implement measures to prevent defects and improve overall product quality.
Design:
- Produce CAD stage drawings using Solid Edge.
- Support sales by creating accurate Bill of Materials (BoMs) using the MRP system (Epicor).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in CNC turning and milling operations.
- Familiarity with machine controls, preferably Fanuc and Okuma.
- Proficient in programming CNC machines.
- Strong background in metal cutting processes.
- Knowledge of high-precision manufacturing techniques.
- Lean Manufacturing experience
- Willingness to travel internationally.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and standards.
