Analox is a well established global leader in the research, development and manufacturing of complex gas sensing products and

Job Purpose
To provide leadership and management to the Manufacturing Engineering team. The team comprises 7 team members; New Product
Introduction Engineers, Manufacturing Support & Improvement Engineers, and Maintenance Engineers. The Team’s overall objective is
to enable effective manufacturing in a complex and high variety electro-mechanical environment. This is achieved through a
combination of direct hands-on support, improvement of existing & legacy manufacturing processes to improve the quality of our
output, and through the optimal introduction of new products from the new product / product update pipeline. As a relatively
newly formed team and engineering function, Manufacturing Engineering at Analox is on a journey and is increasing in stature.
This journey is far from finished, and we’re looking for the right candidate to take this forward and help us improve and scale
for growth.
* Leading, managing and developing the team to keep morale high and deliver on the departmental goals/objectives
* Develop the way we deliver the core requirements of the Manufacturing Engineering function so they are at a higher level of
maturity. These should be underpinned by clear manuals, processes & work instructions.
* Manufacturing Engineering over-arching manual
* New Product Introduction
* Manufacturing Support - reactive and proactive
* Maintenance and tool management
* Underpin the core processes (above) and Manufacturing Engineering activities/deliverables with a suite of KPIs/metrics that
support the overall operational & business strategic objectives and enable data driven improvement.
* Champion and foster a lean & continuous improvement ethos and culture with the Manufacturing Engineering team and the wider
manufacturing team to support quality and efficiency improvements.
* Work with the Manufacturing Operations Manager and colleagues from across the business to develop a manufacturing technology
roadmap to support quality and efficiency.
* Proactively learn about Analox products from their end application through to how they are manufactured; with a view of
building a picture of the challenges faced and the opportunities for improvement in process, design, work instructions etc.
* Develop strong relationships right across the organisation to support both new product introduction and manufacturing support
activities.
General Responsibilities:
* To support other company departments as and when required to enable the company to achieve its objectives.
* Personal training and development to complement Analox’s objectives.
* Maintaining awareness of the company Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
* Understand the importance of the customer in everything we do and carry out all duties in this role in line with Analox

Education, Training and Qualification
Degree qualified in a relevant engineering subject - e.g. electronics/electrical, mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
Lean manufacturing qualification.
People management qualification.
Skills and Knowledge
Electrical, electronic and mechanical manufacturing.
Capex creation.
NPI Process and practical design for manufacture experience.
MRP
CAD
Experience
2 Years + Manufacturing Engineering experience.
People Management.
5 Years + experience in a similar role.
Experience in regulated industries.
