We have a great opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join the team at Stannah. Based in Andover, Hampshire, the Manufacturing Engineering Manager will report to the Head of Manufacturing Operations. Stannah is a manufacturing and engineering company, with 1800 employees in the UK. We manufacture our products on-site in Andover and have a network of Branches, Depots and sites around the UK for installation, maintenance and repair. We are currently going through a great time of growth and about to implement IFS as a company-wide ERP system. It is an exciting time for Stannah Manufacturing Engineering. We have several business-critical projects that are near to implementation. We are looking for an experienced leader who values, and understands, the importance of project delivery and new product introduction (NPI) . The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will lead and support a team of four experienced manufacturing engineers day to day. They will ensure milestone targets are met through to project completion. This is alongside guiding the team through the day-to-day manufacturing requirements. Manufacture is something we pride ourselves on here at Stannah, and we want it to be at the forefront of all new product introduction (NPI). We have recently expanded our sites, in Andover to support this. We rigorously test our products to make sure that they meet the highest standards of quality, comfort and safety. It is an exciting time to join as our manufacturing capability grows and we implement new systems. The successful candidate will ensure that we optimise our end-to-end efficiency, and meet the highest industry standards. We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager who can influence and work with engineering teams to ensure products are designed with Design Failure Mode (DFM) at the forefront. To be successful in the role you will have experience with the Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) analytical tool. It is also essential for candidates to be able to demonstrate a holistic approach towards lean principles and practices. We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager with significant manufacturing industry experience within a relatable industry. It is essential that you have proven communication skills and excellent people management skills. Responsibilities: Day-to-day management and leadership of the Manufacturing Engineering team Provide technical leadership and mentoring to ensure individual and team performance Develop and implement metrics for Manufacturing Engineering objectives Ensure the Manufacturing Engineering team collaborates with the design engineering team Use of change and project management methodology Ensure well-governed project plans Use of lean principles and practices, team structures, visualization, technologies and value stream mapping Requirements Degree in an Engineering discipline (BEng or BSc) or equivalent Lean methodology – Kaizen or Six Sigma methodology Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) Company Information: Stannah is a family-owned manufacturing and engineering company.
