Manufacturing First Line Manager

Robert Walters is assisting a national logistics giant with the recruitment of a Manufacturing First Line Manager to join their Lutterworth operation.

Manufacturing First Line Manager Role responsibilities:

• Experience within a Maintenance, Repairs and Overhauls Service, or relevant assembly experience
• Ensuring all company environmental policies and procedures are implemented
• Manage operational procedures
• Resolve immediate operational problems
• Planning of employee resource levels and 3rd party resource to achieve operational targets
• Complete daily operational reports
• Achieve set KPI's in terms of productivity
• Hold regular briefing meetings with employees to communicate relevant information
• Manage staffing levels in terms of areas worked by staff, FLT manning and breaks taken
• Implement and monitor the effectiveness of the Health and Safety policy
• Effectively manage and motivate employees in designated area
• Assist in recruitment of employees, through interviewing and induction training
• Ensure appropriate training is given to current employees
• Ability to forge strong working relationship

Manufacturing First Line Manager Requirements:

• Experience of managing a team of 10+ is essential
• Able to work night shift hours
• Must have worked within a process driven environment
• Able to work in a fast paced and ever changing environment
• Prior experience gained within distribution is advantageous
