With a goal to delight customers and consumers alike this continually growing food business supply major retailers and food service all over the world with high quality products. They are now seeking a proactive and skilled Manufacturing Management Accountant to join their team.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Financial Controller you will work within the operations team and be responsible for preparing, analysing and reporting the performance of the factory financials against business budgets and targets. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and updating the internal database used to calculate standard product cost for every product manufactured on-site
- Calculating weekly results of production quantities for the factory, comparing these to actual and standard usage and analysing any variances to provide insight to assist in the efficient management of the production process
- Producing monthly factory P&L accounts, evaluating accounting data from SAP and completing with month end accruals, prepayments and recharges as required
- Generating the factory budget and reforecasts, reporting to key members of the production leadership team and group finance
- Driving efficiency and implementing continuous improvement initiatives as you develop reporting processes to support management of the factory and its outgoings.
The Person
We are looking for an accountant with a head for numbers and a predilection for finance, ideally with an accounting qualification. Crucially you will have previously managed budgets within a food manufacturing business. You will have experience with continuous improvements and will an excellent commercial acumen.
An effective communicative ability to work with individuals at all levels is essential in order to explain and present financial information to inform and assist production management. You will have highly developed analytical skills and will be able to show how you have supported and influenced positive business decisions in the past. You will be a results driven self-starter with the ability to extract, manipulate and analyse data from Excel and Access, plus a good working knowledge of I.T packages including SAP FICO.
