SalaryManufacturing Operative / Factory Process Operator with preferably some experience working within a factory environment, who is computer literate and works with a high level of focus on procedures, quality and efficiency is required to join our well-established team at alphagary based in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, East Midlands.

At the Melton site we have a number of positions available within our Manufacturing plant.
SALARY: Starting Salary £28,550 including Shift Pay rising to £34,000+ after training, life assurance, holidays and company sick pay, uniform, pension, volunteering day, Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
LOCATION: Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, East Midlands
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: The company operate a 24/7 shift pattern which involves working every other weekend with time off during the week, 12 hour shift duration working 07:00-19:00hrs and 19:00hrs – 07.00hrs working on average around 16 shifts per month

Alphagary design and manufacture durable, high-performance and sustainable compounds which are used in healthcare, communications, energy, building & construction and consumer products.
Our roots go back to the 1960’s and although we may have changed names over the years our longest serving UK employee now has over 30 years’ service.
As the Manufacturing Operative / Factory Process Operator you will ideally you will have some experience working within a factory environment, be computer literate and be able to work with a high level of focus on health and safety, quality and following procedures.
As the Manufacturing Operative / Factory Process Operator you will be making large volumes of compounds by following recipes, measuring out the raw materials into large hoppers and then once mixed, bagging the finished goods, which are plastic pellets, ready for the logistics team to ship directly to customers.
We will train you on all aspects of the job and if you don’t have one already we will train you to drive a forklift.

The company want a Manufacturing Operative / Factory Process Operator who has a good eye for detail and who care about the things they do health and safety and quality, someone who can identify and solve problems, who is versatile and a good communicator. The role requires lifting of 25kg bags therefore the ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable adjustments.
